Opinion essay - Practice 4

           I have seen things that you wouldn't believe, I have seen original and creative films with a good acting which don't need a teenager idols performance or spectacular  visual effects every two minutes. That is a re-imagined speech from the movie "Blade Runner" and I'm sure that actual teenagers may get bored if they watch it, because they are get use to watch easy and cheesy movies. Nowadays movies are really poor about script and acting because directors and producers just want make films which give them a lot of money, instead of being interested in making a high quality movies.

              Firstly there is a lack of new ideas on actual movies. The last years you could find many remakes and reboots of old movies or stories, for example "The Planet of The Apes". The old movie was realy good, it told us a new story with really good script as the main part of the movie. Later they made an awful remake and totally useless precuel which main effort was CGI effects. That is only one example of many movies that are make nowadays.

                  Moreover, producers only care about having a good-looking actor in their movies, even if there are better performers. Actors of classic movies are really good, for example Al Pacino isn't incredibly handsome but he is a great actor. If Al Pacino had been born later, and was looking for a job now, he would find it more difficult to become famous because he doesn't has a pretty face. Nowadays actors, mostly of them, aren't good actor but they are liked by young teens, and that fact give money to the movie.

                   To conclude, I hate the fact that I find too dificult to watch a real good movie and most people don't care about the quality of a good script or a great performance, they only want to see again and again kind of the same movie with different faces and scenery.

Problem/Solution essay - Practice 3

           Pollution is a huge problem, it affects everything, every live being and the environment. Other energy sources are needed or we will have troubles, furthermore, the world is already in trouble. The environment has been changed, forest are destroyed, seas and rivers polluted, glaciars are melting and animals are endangered. We need to try some green-ways to live and start to change details in our lives, starting by pollution of our cars and motorbikes.

            One solution to avoid pollution is use bikes instead of cars. Bikes are a healthy and green way to move without causing any harm to earth. A problem of the use of bikes is the fact that many cities are not designed in a good way to ride a bike there, and that made ride a bike at cities something a little dangerous. Added to this, prepare a city to be redesigned is really expensive.

            Moreover, other solution is to use electric cars. The use of this cars are cleaner than cars and less expensive, But, to construct electric cars they need to work with light weight kind of materials, which is quite bad to the environment because work with this metals caused more pollution and they are need light weight metal because the batteries of this cars are really heavy.

             From my point of view, the "ride a bike solution" is better. I know that is a really big change, to drive bikes instead of cars, but we need a redical change to conserve the environment and make the earth a better place to live.

             To conclude, due to the fact that pollution is a big problem to the world and to us, we need to start making a change by our own. The most important thing to start change the world is change ourselves.

Outline for an essay, thesis statement, supporting ideas and details - Practice 2

(Thesis statement) 

The use of computers for writing exercise or exams is better to students, teachers and even the planet, than do that on paper. There are a lot disadantages in writing on paper. There are a lot of disadvantages in writing on paper, and nowadays I can't understand why are not we doing this kind of exercises with computers.

(Supporting ideas and details)

Better for students:

-Easy to write.

-Easy to edit.

-Bad caligraphy is not possible.

Better for teachers and schools:

-See more clearly on a computer.

-No problems with caligraphy.

-Save money.

Better for environment

-Less pollution by factories who prepare the paper.

-Save more trees.

-Less use of pens and pencils, less pollution on their respective factories.

(Conclusion)

Finally and for all this reasons the use of computer at classrooms is better than do it on paper and complicated our lives while we keep spending more money and increasing pollution.

Practice 1

Most people don't like alternative music, but from my point of view this kind of music is the only one that is still artistic. Music industry has become only marketing andd there isn't space in TV or radio for bands which don´t make the same mainstream music. People don't like this music because they didn't hear before. Moreover, at this times, it is dificult to hava a music band and keep it alive, specially when you only do that for passion to the music and no for money, so I respect that. Alternative music is a really big scene formed by a lot of styles: pop, punk, rock, rockabilly, psychobilly, new wave, ska, etc. That variety make this scene really interesting. Although most people don't like and even don't know nothing about alternative music, that is the only music that I listen and I really love it.

Thesis Statement

Government surveillance is not ethic, we must be conscious of the danger of giving our liberty to people who rule the world, or just your country, because they just use that for their own benefit, not for all of us. When we accept be watched, we are losing our condition of free human beings and starting to be just another piece of the puzzle, just manipulated population.

Masshysteri

Masshysteri is a punk band from Sweden, their music are a huge influence to me. Masshysteri is punk band, but they mixed raw punk with "melodic-pop" guitar riffs,this is a song from their second album. "Lat dom hata oss" (Let them hate us) I hope you like it!

Advantages and disadvantages of live in small town or in a big city

Living in a small town or in a big city are two really different issues, however both have advantages and disadvantages. In a small town you are going to have less noise and pollution, in contrast to big cities where there are more, in consequence of being more crowded. In big cities there are more places to see and the streets are full of live, whereas in small town there are fewer places (coffees, pubs, etc.) and less people on the streets. If you love the countryside you are going to find it closer in a small town, opposite of big cities where the only green you will see, is in parks. Finally, if you are going to move to other city, you should choose thinking of your way of life and enjoy the one you like.

New movies and old movies - Comparative/contrast text

           For my point of view, old movies are better than new movies for many reasons like script and acting. When you see old movies, you will that they don’t have the technology to make heartbreaking effects, in consequence the writers worked hard to create interesting scripts to encourage people to go to the cinema. Moreover, in old movies you will see great actors, at this times for the directors are more important the good acting than the beauty faces. Nowadays, in new movies almost all films that you can see are focused on the visual effects than the script, and if you like good movies, you will on new movies barely the same script over and over again. Added to this, in actual films the producers choose a pretty girls or handsome men whether they act well or badly because pretty faces make money. Other reason to prefer old movies are the horrible remakes all the time which destroy good stories making really hateful movies. For these reasons, I prefer old movies, they have terrific scripts and acting and that make them a treasure, and I really miss that in new films.

My Favourite Place

           Uncrowded beaches are my favourite places. For me is more important to be with good friends than the place to stay with them, but if I think in a place where I like to stay alone, that place is the beach. In spring I used to go to “Calblanque”, a beach which is also a natural park, I could be there hours walking along the shore, swimming, reading or just watching the sea. I like to feel the cool of the water when it isn’t summer yet, and how it shock my body. The beauty of the place, the calm, and the view of the sea are really amazing. That spot make me remember things that I forgot before, when I’m there I just want to see the sea some more.

Nueva Generación - Next gig in Murcia!

The next 25 October we are going to play at the rockzone of "Garaje Beat Club" with two greats bands: Arañazo (Punk) and Baron Samedi (Garage Punk from Zaragoza). Only for 3€! Come and enjoy!

Describing People

       Only one person in my life makes me happy just with a smile, that person is my little nephew. He is a three years happy children, and has the inocence of his age. He always smile to me and tell me, with his cute voice, all he has on his mind. He loves her uncle and always run to me when he see me. My world and my problems dissapears when I play some game or just talk with him. My nephew is one of the most important person for me.

Nueva Generación

Hi! How you doing? I really want to write here more often, but... 

Well, I want to promote my band  share with all of you the most important thing for me, the band where I play the guitar, "Nueva Generación" (New Generation in English). The band was formed in January 2014 and we start to play concerts in April. Last spring and summer was totally awesome, and we used to play 2 or 3 weekends at month (I'll write many of the experiences in the next weeks) and we play in Murcia, Almeria, Alicante, San Vicente, etc. 

24 May - Cure Antidisco Bar - Alicante

We have 4 songs recorded and we expect to edit a vinyl EP before the new year. We are selling some merchandaising (only 1€) to cost our part of the edition, and if you want to help us I really appreciate that.

We have more songs but there aren't recorded yet and new songs that we really want to finished to include in our shows.

26 July - VII Almeria Punk HXC Playa Festival 

Hi There!

Hi! That's the first post in the blog! 

I have created this blog for "practicas de redaccion", one asignature of "Estudios Ingleses" college grade. I've been thinking about the name of the blog, and I decided to name it like a song of a british punk/Oi! band called Blitz, which turns to Post Punk/New Age in 1983.

I really hope all of you enjoy this blog!: ) whatever I only cares about pass the asignature muahahah...
